Removal of the expiry function

Is it possible to remove the need to give an expiry date when creating a new member? Or have it default to 5 years rather than having to fill it in.
This is a request from my client, Seems odd to me but important to them

Hi Algis - thanxs for the prompt reply again - I am not sure what you mean that you "will add the default group membership expiration period" - could you explain please - is this something I have to do ?

Re: Removal of the expiry function

agh, I mean that I will add a new setting named like "Default Group Membership Period". You will be able to set it for example to 5 years, so when you add a user to a group, the expiration time will be prefilled with 5 years

Re: Removal of the expiry function

Is that something I have to do with your instruction or is it something that you are going to do in a future release - sorry for being so dumb about it but I am unsure what  is going to happen next to implement it.
