Hello,
I just purchased and installed today. Setup was easy thanks.
I placed a file in a folder and I restricted access to a user.
I only want the user to be able to view/download their files. How can I restrict the user from deleting or renaming the file?
Thanks.

Hello,
thank you for your purchase.
You will need to create a custom Access Role (go to Users and Groups >> Access Roles >> Create Access Role) then enable all the actions except "delete" and "update" actions.
Then you will need to assign this role to the user for that folder (use this role except the "-Allow All-" one)

algis,
Thanks for the reply. Within Access Roles I created "Read Only.
X List
X Get
X Send Notification
Would you please outline the steps to add a new
• Folder
• File
• User and group if needed
• restrict file access to this new file and folder to the new user
I want to add 20 files for 20 users so I'd like streamline the process and have it written down so I can do it in the future as well.
Thanks for your work!

Hello,
you can easily remove the "Send Notification" permission - it allows to send email notifications when a new file is upload. Since this access role doesn't allow to create new files, you can safely remove this "Send Notification" access.
Ok, now
1. add a new folder
- go to Files (in left navigation), click on Make Folder (in top navigation)
2. add a new file
- go to Files (in left navigation), browse to the folder required, then click on Upload File (in top navigation)
3. add a user
- go to Users (in left navigation), then click on Create User (in top navigation)
4. add a group
- go to Groups (in left navigation), then click on Create Group (in top navigation)
5. set permissions for a folder
- if you see this folder in the folder list, select the "Edit" option in the dropdown list. If you already inside this folder, click the "Edit This Folder" link in top navigation. A folder edit form appears.
- in the lower part of the form there's the Permissions subform where existing permissions are listed. Click on "Set Permissions" to create new. A new permissions setting form will appear.
- the folder is already selected in this form. Click on Select Group or Select User. Once you select one, you will get back to the permission setting form with your selection.
- then the Access Role selection will be active. Select one you require and click on Set
